The next Prince’s Trust TEAM Programme courses will commence on:
Oxford: September 2017
Bath: May 8th 2017
Swindon: May 8th 2017
The Prince’s Trust Team Programme is a full time personal development course, designed to aid unemployed young people between the ages of 16 and 24 in developing the skills required to not only gain a career, but to be able to live indepedently, setting and achieving life goals. From getting involved in community projects, to work placements with local employers, the course is extremely varied. Here’s what we do over the 12 weeks.
Week 1 – Take Action
Meet new people, start planning for the weeks ahead – what you want to achieve and planning for your week away.
Week 2 – New Experiences
You’ll spend this week away on residential – trying new experiences and learning how to work with others.
Weeks 3-6 – Something to talk about
As a Team, you’ll decided on a project to benefit your local community and carry it out.
Weeks 7-8 – Work Placements
This is the time to see how the skills you’ve developed so far can help you in the workplace.
Week 9 – Plan for the future
Time to plan your next steps after the programme. Get help to create your CV, practise interview skills and make applications.
Weeks 10-11 – Meet the challenge
You and your Team will take on a challenge to help other people in the community.
Week 12 – Have your say
In your final week, you’ll deliver a presentation with your team to an invited audience. This is your chance to show off the talents you’ve discovered! It may sound scary now, but after 12 weeks on Team you’ll be suprised at how far you’ve come.
