Team Challenge

The Inner Flame Team Challenge is a short activity-based event (usually 1 1/2 to 2 hours) to develop communication and team working skills among young people aged 13-19. It involves 3-4 team exercises covering physical, mental and practical problem-solving.

Team ChallengesAs well as developing essential skills for employability, these sessions are relevant to Every Child Matters (Enjoy and Achieve), Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning, and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. Using an Experiential Learning approach, we offer a chance to develop:
o       Creative thinking and problem-solving
o       Reflective learning
o       Team working
o       Effective participation

The Team Challenge can be tailored to focus on different aspects of personal development. We have delivered workshops based on Motivation, Leadership and Confidence. Just as important is to deliver a fun experience which raises awareness and helps young people to value these skills.

The event finishes with a short presentation where learners can hear from and meet previous participants from our residential course, “Fire Me Up!”, and sign up if they are interested.

The cost per session is just £120, and we run these at your site, so there is no need for transport. We suggest that you recruit between 18 and 24 participants, although we can run with fewer. We enjoy working with groups with a mix of ages and abilities.

It is easy to organise, running at your site, so you have no transport costs. Call David Wreathall today on 0771 896 8609 for more information and to book.

"The feedback from the groups was excellent and we enjoyed the buzz you created. I will be building in more opportunities for Inner Flame to come in next year" (Jo Heaven, Swindon College)

"My group of students … gained a lot from the experience.  As soon as the activities started all students quickly became engaged and focused on the task.  It was the first Monday morning session back after the Christmas holidays so I was surprised at how much the students became involved. The students gained a lot from the sessions, they enjoyed themselves but also realised how much they could push themselves with a little encouragement.  It introduced the concept of self-motivation to my students in a fun and upbeat way which is vital for all young people." (Tanya Musty, Swindon College)
